High Insulation TX Optical Interface Cable

The High Isolation Interface has been developed to enable the connection of supervision systems to electronic energy meters that have the Serial User Output in accordance with ABNT NBR 14519, such as ELO2113 and ELO2180.

The function of this interface is to ensure insulation between the meter and the data acquisition system, while preserving the integrity of the meter.

The interface consists of the ELO577 emitter cable and the ELO578 receiver cable.

The ELO577 emitter cable has a red LED that allows the installer to verify the data transmission that the meter is making through its Serial User Output.

The ELO577 / ELO578 High Isolation Interface is also provided along with the ELO548 and ELO2148 units.

Connectivity

The terminals of the ELO577 emitter cable should be connected to the SU + and SU- terminals of the meter. The terminals of the ELO578 receiver cable should be connected to the terminals recommended by the receiving equipment (ELO548 and ELO2148).

Loss Compensation with ELO 2183

The transformers in general present power losses when they are in operation, these losses are in the copper and in the iron of its structure. Copper losses occur due to heating of the coils, where part of the energy will be dissipated as heat, iron losses occur due to magnetic hysteresis and current parasitic on the iron.

The installation of an energy metering system next to the primary one of a power transformer is more expensive than the installation in the secondary, so the installation of the energy measurement in the transformer low voltage winding becomes less expensive. In this way, with lower insulation class its cost becomes smaller. However, to estimate the energy measurement at the side of the primary, it is necessary to estimate the losses of the transformers to add or subtract them, as the case may be.

The ELO2183 meter has an algorithm to estimate these losses, which is composed of the data collected on the transformer board and data from routine test (losses in copper, losses in the iron and the excitation correction). The technical report validating the loss compensation algorithm of the ELO2183 meter was issued by CEPEL (DTD 15312/2017), which describes the tests performed to verify the performance of the algorithm.

FRATELO

Fratelo is the portable field inspection meter. Its electrical and physical characteristics are better for the user to perform inspections on electrical energy measurements, from consumer units in general.

As an electronic multifunction meter it replaces to a large advantage conventional devices used as voltmeters, ammeters, phasors, wattmeters, standard meters, etc.

Operating as a complete power analyzer and incorporating the functions of a modern “standard meter”, it allows for quick and efficient diagnostics of the operating conditions and connection of the measuring set.

ELO 50

Program for the analysis of Readings of files have the format at (@)

The ELO.50 is a data analysis program contained in meter readings and ABNT standard electric energy recorders used in electric billing. It can analyze bidirectional meter information, standard ABNT.

The program generates reports and graphs for analysis, video or printer, showing the load curve, energy totalizers, power failures and fiscal page of the meters that record this information.

The ELO.50 offers complete accuracy in the verification of the readings, guaranteeing the highest reliability and quality of service to the energy concessionaires and, consequently, to its consuming customers.

The analyzes made are based on three-phase rules in force in Brazil.

ELO 71

Software developed for the purpose of reading and programming the standard ABNT meters

ELO.71 is software that allows the user to program and read ABNT standard electronic meters. Both programming and reading are done through a direct connection of the microcomputer running the ELO.71 with the meter through the serial port of this microcomputer.

All parameter setting and meter reading features are available in a comfortable and intuitive way. ELO.71 is an important tool, which includes the latest meter change commands on the well-known Windows platform.

ELO.71 also allows another important operation: viewing the fiscal page in real time to see how the meter is installed.

Comes with communication cable Meter-Computer.

ELO 6

This program is intended for the collection and analysis of MMS files of the MUG.

Program for analysis of measurement records made by the MUG – Universal Meter of Measurements in its models ELO.621, ELO.631 and ELO.2160, for use in microcomputers compatible with IBM standard PC with Windows 95 System, allowing the processing of data, generation (on-screen or printer) of graphs and reports on recorded quantities, disk storage and on-line monitoring of these quantities.
